We're sure you know that since the founding of the first social fraternity in 1825, all but four of the United States presidents and vice presidents have been Greek organization members. Keeping with the election fever that is being fueled on college campuses across the nation, Something Greek is taking our most popular blog topic, Famous Greeks, and applying it to the political scene!

Something Greek Famous Politicians Bill Clinton Alpha Phi Omega

Former President Bill Clinton is a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

Something Greek Famous Politicians George H. W. Bush Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity

George H. W. Bush is not only a former United States president, he is also a former Delta Kappa Epsilon president.

Something Greek Famous Politicians Condoleezza Rice Alpha Chi Omega Sorority

Condoleezza Rice is a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

Something Greek Famous Politicians Ronald Reagan Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity

Ronald Reagan was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon.

Something Greek Famous Politicians Franklin D. Roosevelt Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity

Franklin D. Roosevelt was a member of Alpha Delta Phi.

Something Greek Famous Politicians Theodore Roosevelt Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity

Like his cousin, Theodore Roosevelt was a member or Alpha Delta Phi. He was also a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon.

And now the ones you're really interested in:

Current President Barack Obama and current Vice President Joe Biden were never part of a Greek organization.

Mitt Romney doesn't appear to have Greek affiliation either. There is evidence that Romney expressed some interest in the recruitment process during college, but he never went through with it.

Something Greek Famous Politicians Paul Ryan Delta Tau Delta

I am happy to announce, however, that Paul Ryan is a member of Delta Tau Delta.

We hope you enjoyed our political version of Famous Greeks! Make sure you get out and vote on Election Day! The Greek community's voice is a very important one as we are the future leaders of America!
