I thoroughly enjoy placing all of your orders for your Custom Greek Clothing, helping you decide what you want to go on your Greek Paddles, and (most importantly) writing this blog. You are really lucky that I enjoy working at Something Greek so much because getting here every day is an actual nightmare. Okay, I understand that the weather is getting nicer and summer traffic is always worse, but this is a year round problem. The drive from my house to Something Greek should take ten minutes, but sometimes it can take a half hour. Ridiculous. Why does it take...

I know most normal schools are already done with finals, and a lot of you are already in summer mode. Some of us (like me) are not so fortunate. Naturally, procrastination has gotten the best of me this week. Judging by posts on other blogs, I see procrastination has gotten the best of a lot of other people too. Check out this fellow WordPress-er's "How Not to Stay Focused When Writing an Essay." I think this blogger has some great ideas for procrastination. You will find similar lists of things to do while procrastinating on several different websites. Needless to...

I know we have a section on our website of Something Greek's Top 21 Greek Products, but I thought maybe my readers would be interested in knowing what my personal favorite Greek clothing and Greek accessories items are. Read on to find out!   1. Greek Pullover Jacket: If  you've been reading my blog for a while, you already know how  much I love this item. That time has come. It's the end of the semester. At Something Greek this time of year is marked by massive amounts of orders for Greek Graduation Stoles. For those of us in Greek Life it means alumni brunches, formals, senior send offs, elections for next year's positions, saying goodbye to your sisters or brothers for the summer, and of course finals. This time of year is really bittersweet. There are lots of things that I'm excited for in the next few weeks. For one, seeing all of my sorority's alumni and talking about how things have changed and how...

It seems as though the beginning of spring kicks off the season for philanthropy events for most sororities and fraternities. Personally, my sorority has two upcoming walks in the next two weeks. Spring is definitely the time you want to do these walks(Especially the ones that are on the beach as many are here in Long Island). Here at Something Greek we see a lot of great philanthropy on each organization's Facebook page. In honor of National Volunteer Week, we thought we'd take a moment to recognize you! So while you get all your fraternity or sorority clothes in order...

So it's Friday the 13th, which got us here at Something Greek thinking about the old double lettering superstition. Is it bad luck to wear more than one garment of fraternity or sorority clothing at a time? The first two times I heard of this superstition was from two guys in the same fraternity but at different schools. I wrote it off as something just that fraternity did, but I asked around at work today among other Greek organization members, and I found that just about everyone abides by this rule. I sort of understand the idea of not wearing greek...

The week that Greeks all over the country anticipate all year is finally here! I'm so excited for 7 days of playing sports, cheering on my sorority, toga party, marathon, and presentation of our banner. In my sorority, the banner is always our pride and joy. Blood, sweat, tears, and countless hours of labor go into all of our Homecoming and Greek Week banners. I've seen four of them made, and I'm always so proud once it's finally finished. The days of painting and glittering (and finding glitter in places glitter should never be) are always worth it in the...

Something Greek has some bad news. We will no longer be able to sell our bar style hats. I know I'm bummed. My sorority rocks them all the time. With Greek Week just around the corner, we're anticipating an explosion of hat orders. This might pose a problem. We had the great idea of asking you, our loyal, blog-reading, customers for your input. So if you have a great idea for a hat design, send us an email (sgshop@somethinggreek.com) with your design and a description. Please keep the design to one or two colors, and it needs to be 2 inches in height...
